Ok, so today we’ll take a look at another camera, this one is on the Verizon Wireless LG Ally. it’s an Android 2.1 phone with a 3.2MP camera with autofocus and flash. The LG Ally features a nice 3.2” touch screen and a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard with number line to make typing that much easier. It’s not  a bad phone overall, I gave it a 9 out of 10 total score. I did run into some issues with it slowing down for odd reasons, and the the built in speaker isn’t that great along with the fact that it’s rather large and kinda clunky phone really. On the bright side though it has a decent battery life, the keyboard is excellent and of course call quality it very good as well. I did play some games on it, and they ran and looked just beautiful on this phone, even like 3d racing games with everything just moving fast, the phone handled them well. Anyway we’re here to take a brief look at the camera itself so let’s just jump into it..

Here’s a few views of the phone and the camera.

The actual camera interface has a bad on the right side and one on the left that appears and disappears as needed, just touch the screen and there it is.

To adjust zoom and brightness a slider bar will appear at the bottom of the screen.

To change the focus icons will appear center screen, the same thing with the flash.

There’s four main choices on the menu for Image Size or resolution, Scene Mode, ISO, White Balance and Color Effect.

There’s several color effects there, Mono, Negative, Solarize, Sepia, Posterize, Whiteboard, Blackboard and Aqua.

Since I mentioned the effects here they are in order as listed above and on the phone:

Let’s get to the pictures.. Distance first, about 5 feet away, then zoomed in to frame them in the picture.

Macro  mode works very well, decent quality overall for a phone.

Distances aren’t bad either as long as you keep the phone still and the subject isn’t moving…

The zoom is kinda worthless , the pictures come out grainy and I’ve try to avoid it altogether or at least avoid extreme zooming…
